Exercise for Physical and Mental Health

I cannot stress how important exercise is. There are so many options out there that there really is no excuse not to add this into your life. For me, I have always found peace in going to the gym. I love to weight train. I also enjoy spin class, HIIT workouts, and any type of circuit training. When I cannot get to the gym, I stream workouts to get a quick workout right in my living room. Recently I have added a weighted hulu hoop to the mix. This is a must try for anyone who is looking to tone the stomach area. It also aids in digestion, so if you have any issues in that area, this may help.

Practice Hot Yoga for Self Improvement

I believe I mentioned this in a previous post. Hot yoga is something you must try once in your life. At first, I thought the idea was crazy. You are doing yoga in a room that is roughly 105 degrees. It sounds unbearable, but trust me, you feel amazing afterwards. The first time I took a hot yoga class, I was dripping with sweat before the class begun. And do not think you need to be flexible to take a yoga class. It suited the classes for all levels, and the more you do it, the better you get at it. I could never do a split, and with weight training, my muscles have gotten very tight and less flexible. Yoga, in general, is such a stress relief. You will leave with an unbelievable feeling of peace and calm.

Take Salt Bath Soaks for Relaxation

Soaking in the tub feels amazing. Adding salts to your bath helps your body to relax, reduces muscles fatigue and cramps. This is very helpful when you workout and have sore muscles. It is also very beneficial with stress relief as it aids in relaxation. Anytime you are able to relax, your mind with thank you. When my days are extremely stressful, a salt bath is something I look forward to at the end of my day. I like to add 2 cups of either Epsom salt or pink Himalayan salt to my bath water. Ideally, I like to do this at least once a week.
